I recently attended London's Fashion Weekend and managed to see my first ever fashion catwalk show. 'Issa London' showcased their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection which was greatly inspired by the different cultures of Moscow and Beijing, just in time for the Olympics The cut of the dresses were very classic but given a powerful new look with rich, heavily patterned fabrics. I particularly liked the shoes and the combination of metallics with matt fabrics.

The shoes worn by each model featured the same design with different colour themes. |

Rich fabrics with interesting colour palettes and patterns adorned the classically cut dresses. |
 |
Extra details were added, such as the fur in this image, in response to the designers influence from Moscow. |
 |
The final collection was a mix of deep blues, blacks and vivid patterns which gave a modern twist to classic designs. |
All in all, I was very impressed with my first ever viewing of a catwalk show. It was a great motivation to see more and see what other designers have been inspired by this Winter!
